A collection of rarities produced by three of the main originators of Jamaican ska music: Carlos Malcolm, Ronnie Nasralla, and Theo Beckford. Jamaica's national sound emerged in the early 1960s from shuffle, boogie, mento, and blues beat. The new dance quickly gained international fame through 'Dr. No', the first movie in the James Bond series. This LP compilation brings tribute to the founding fathers of ska music. The gatefold cover and 4-page insert collect extensive liner notes, personal stories and pictures from a timeless sound which lives on to this day.
