The BBL encountered Johnny Griffin during a 1989 tour and, quite at home in large outfits, the saxophonist, felt perfectly at ease with the group. This event naturally gave birth to an album. Among the Big Band's qualities, we can particularly appreciate their full and mellow sounds, their precision, strength, swing and sense of melody, apparent in each arrangement.
