Jimmy Reed - Christmas Present Blues [CD]

Probably the most successful R&B crossover artist of the 1950's, bluesman Jimmy Reed's hypnotic guitar patterns, wailing harmonica and laid back singing style attracted a more mainstream audience than previous blues greats. One of the first electric blues artists, Reed was a main inspiration for early rock n' rollers and influenced a wide range of artists from the Beatles to the Rolling Stones. Presented here is Reed's vintage holiday favorite, the classic "Christmas Present Blues," newly re-mastered.
