HTRK's Work (work, work), a cult classic pressed for it's 15th anniversary, emerged from grief after the sudden loss of founding member Sean Stewart in 2010. Marked by achingly slow 808 beats, eerie synth arpeggios, and vaporous guitar noise, with Jonnine Standish's singular sense of detachment, Work (work, work) registered as bleak, abrasive, and melancholic. Yet deeper listens through the murky, minimalist set reveal a romantic core. Something they'd surface further in the years to follow. Centered around the project's 21st Anniversary, Ghostly is reissuing a deluxe obi edition in a new Clear Ash colored vinyl variant.
