Before John Travolta became a major star in Saturday Night Fever and TV's "Welcome Back Kotter" he starred in this memorable television melodrama. Loving parents Johnny (Robert Reed TV's "The Brady Bunch") and Mickey Lubitch (Diana Hyland TV's "Peyton Place") learn that their son Tod (Travolta) is born with an immune deficiency. Forced to live in a self-contained environment he is unable to have direct contact with anything or anyone in the outside world. Despite being sheltered from society Tod remains optimistic about life even developing a relationship with his neighbor Gina (Glynnis O'Connor Johnny Dangerously).
